Mr. Anderton specializes in Enterprise Architecture, Application Architecture and Design, and Application Development. Much of his work focuses on collaboration, integration, and data-focused applications. Most recently, he has worked with federal agencies to build improved collaboration, data management, and analytics capabilities to support environmental damage assessment and restoration efforts. He is proficient in designing and implementing custom applications using several modern frameworks and languages. Database experience includes relational database platforms including column-oriented databases tuned for analytics and NoSQL and Big Data platforms such as mongoDB and Hadoop. He also has deep experience applying Business Intelligence and Analytics tools to transform and analyze scientific data.
Mr. Anderton’s expertise is designing and implementing technology solutions that meet organizational needs through coordination with both technical and non-technical staff. Through this approach, he ensures development of useful and cost-effective tools.
Jim holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Portland State University and has 20 years of experience in the software development field.
