Robert E. Unsworth

Mr. Unsworth’s consulting practice focuses on applied natural resource and environmental economics. He provides expert support in the assessment of economic damages resulting from adverse changes in the environment and the public’s loss of access to natural resources, economic benefits associated with improvements in environmental conditions, and the costs and benefits associated with environmental regulation. He has served as an expert witness in the context of environmental damage claims, has assisted various public commissions on topics in environmental valuation, and is frequently called upon to speak on natural resource and environmental damage assessment. He served as IEc’s COO and President from 2002 to 2011 and is currently a Principal with the firm.
Mr. Unsworth holds a B.S. magna cum laude in Forestry from the State University of New York (where his studies focused on forest and environmental economics), and a Masters of Forest Science from Yale University (where his studies focused on environmental and natural resource economics).
