Mike Huguenin (he/him) founded IEc with Sharon Chown in 1981. He served as the firm’s President from 1981 to 1999, and remained a Principal until 2005 when he became Executive Director of the Harvard Center for Risk Analysis at the Harvard School of Public Health. Mike rejoined IEc as a Senior Consultant in 2007.
He is an expert in the application of economic, financial, and scientific analysis to environmental and resource management issues. He has extensive experience in natural resource damage assessment, valuation of environmental assets, environmental policy and regulation, and human health and environmental risk analysis. Mike has conducted hundreds of consulting engagements for government and industrial clients in the U.S. and abroad, and has presented sworn testimony at depositions and before regulatory commissions. He also conducts strategic planning and management improvement efforts with Fortune 500 corporations, venture-backed and LBO-funded organizations, public agencies, and non-profit organizations.
Mike holds an A.B. in Physics from Washington University in St. Louis, and a M.Sc. In Management from the Sloan School at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
