Mark D. Ewen
Principal
Mark Ewen has a strong background in applied economics, empirical methodologies, and financial analysis. As a Principal at IEc, he focuses on liability assessment and economic damages estimation in a variety of litigation contexts, regulatory and environmental economics, and financial analysis. Within his areas of expertise, Mark has been qualified as an expert witness before judicial and regulatory bodies. His litigation experience includes a wide variety of case types (e.g., breach of contract, nuisance, deceptive trade practices, and regulatory non-compliance) covering a broad suite of economic sectors (opioid manufacturing and distribution; vaping products; energy generation and distribution; railroads; cruise ships; oil ship transport; lodging and tourism; food and beverage; casino gambling; fisheries; marinas; real estate development; oil and gas development; and oil refining). Mark also engages regularly on energy and environmental policy matters for various Federal and state clients.
He holds a B.A. summa cum laude in Economics and Political Science from the University of North Dakota, and an M.P.P. from the University of Michigan.
