Ann Shellenbarger Jones

Ann Shellenbarger Jones, Ph.D. (she/her) manages assessments of ecological systems. With a chemistry background and over twenty years of experience in environmental valuation, she works primarily on developing and implementing methods to assess and value ecological services, for natural resource damage assessment (NRDA). Her NRDA work covers oil spills, mining sites, and multiple-contaminant legacy sites, providing support throughout the assessment and restoration. In particular, she develops and implements specialized field programs to address NRDA needs; assists clients with data organization, quality, interpretation, and synthesis; and performs habitat equivalency analysis.
Ann Jones holds a B.A. cum laude in chemistry, with a concentration in biochemistry, from Washington University in St. Louis. She received her Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she also studied environmental policy in the Technology and Policy Program.
