Successful implementation of sustainability strategies and targets requires ongoing work to coordinate across the organization, and often with suppliers and vendors, to make progress towards goals. To ensure continuous progress toward sustainability targets, IEc guides clients on educating decisionmakers, engaging internal stakeholders, and communicating plans and progress.

• Convening internal energy/climate champions to lead internal implementation and communication
• Employee education and training
• Developing internal communications (e.g., management and board briefings, employee briefings)
• Developing and rolling out “green” business policies (e.g., green leases, green store specs, green office policies, green procurement policies)
• Developing internal carbon funds or applying an internal carbon tax to embed carbon considerations into regular business decisions
• Annual data collection and analysis of progress
