Gail Fricano
Senior Associate

Gail  Fricano Ms. Fricano specializes in evaluations of marine, coastal, and riverine resources in the context of natural resource damage assessment, remediation, restoration, and regulatory and policy frameworks. She regularly applies her strong science, policy, and communication skills to inform sound decisions among diverse groups of stakeholders. Ms. Fricano has overseen several multi-year field and laboratory programs and has coordinated large teams of experts and supporting staff on issues such as oil spills, coastal wetland assessments and restoration, and aquatic dredged material disposal. She frequently provides technical support on remediation projects and has prepared numerous environmental permit applications and NEPA documentation for oil and gas deepwater ports, offshore pipelines, and onshore facilities.

Ms. Fricano holds a B.A. in Biology from Williams College and an M.S. in Marine Science from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science/College of William and Mary.

Gail started her career as a Research Analyst at IEc.

EXPERIENCE
Gail previously worked in the Policy Branch of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where she helped develop policies and procedures related to sediment testing and served as deputy director of a marine monitoring program.

Gail interned with NOAA's Assessment and Restoration Division to help ensure protection and restoration of NOAA's trust resources at hazardous waste sites throughout the Northeast.
