The assessment of injuries and natural resource damages associated with groundwater contamination can be
especially challenging, especially in the context of injuries that do not involve the closure of public or
private water supply wells. IEc is unmatched in its experience developing groundwater damage claims that
are consistent with state policy and regulation, while remaining rooted in the economic literature that
describes the value of this important resource to the public.
We have applied our expertise at more than 40 sites in 18 states and territories through
engagements that range from the estimation of property value changes attributable to groundwater
contamination, to technical support for the adjudication of an aquifer allocation dispute between
neighboring states, to the development of state-specific groundwater damage assessment methodologies.
